Weekly inspiration from Windhorse

Keeping up with the practice in the complexity of our daily lives may well be a greater challenge than sitting through a sesshin. Some people feel that their zazen becomes lukewarm very soon after they leave the Zen center, or they may lose touch with the practice altogether. In fact, there are few practitioners who haven’t gone through something like this - which may be comforting, but doesn't solve the problem. Outside a daily sitting routine, which is essential in keeping a Zen practice alive, we can seek help in contacts with other sangha members. Such contact can be both personal (i.e, ‘in person’) or virtual (like following this blog via email or visiting our Facebook Site). Or you may find inspiration in listening to lectures and teisho podcasts (click here to get the latest available teisho by Sunya-sensei).

Both of these things, in miniature form - are sometimes combined in the ‘weekly update’ – which is not always weekly and not necessarily just an update on what's happening at WZC. Usually put together by Sunya-sensei and sent out as an email to all those on our list, this email often includes bits of teaching along with schedule changes, etc.

If you're interested in signing up for these updates, please let us know by sending an email to windhorse@windhorsezen.org.
